Why do our pets need preventative screening?

Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. Instinctively they will often mask signs of illness until late into the course of disease making treatment, more difficult. 

We recommend annual physical examinations for all our young healthy patients. For our older patients, we recommend physical examinations every 6 months. Our goal is to detect underlying disease before it's clinically apparent. Performing routine blood, urine and fecal testing helps us immensely in attaining that goal. We strongly advocate routine annual testing in all our older patients.
